Common Sense for Uncommon Times

John Ashcroft is a dangerous menace to American values. He doesn't believe in freedom, states' rights, or the rights of an individual to freely practice no religion. His Pentecostal agenda is at odds with the needs of the country and the Constitution, and I call for his immediate resignation for the good of the United States of America which all of us, including Ashcroft, love.

Move over, MoveOn. There was a mini-furor a few weeks back when some bloggers took MoveOn.org to task for arranging a letter writing campaign against an invasion of Iraq. Most thought it unseemly for the public to write letters to the editor they hadn't composed themselves. How embarrassing, then, for three Georgia lawmakers who have sent nearly identical letters to the EPA on behalf of a major campaign contributor. You'd think that for 5 or 10 grand you could at least put some original thinking into your boot licking exercise
