Free analysis of your main page!

Free recommendations to improve your search engine ranking!

Google Rank on search for daverobertsOptimizing your own web site for search engines is not rocket science.

Create interesting and unique content on a regular basis

If you’re trying to get ranked for “apartments” in New York, the chance of moving onto the front page of Google are slim. On the other hand, “apartments on Lexington Ave” might be a search you have a good chance to succeed with.

Focus on your strengths

Search engines are text based. If you put too much of your important content into graphics, your site might be lovely, but none of the search engines will index you.

Decide to be smart first; then pretty.

I enjoy working with smart clients who just need a jump start to get on the right track with their search engine optimization. Forget dumping thousands of dollars into high priced SEO services which promise extravagant results. Consistently good, regularly updated writing with close attention to keywords and titles will earn you a position on the search engines that will stand up to the competition.

During the first quarter of 2008 I am offering to analyze the front page of your web site FREE of charge. I will prepare a short SEO report with an analysis of what your front page lacks to be dominant in your area and specialty.  I will make at least two recommendations for your SEO strategy that may include include personalized tips on writing, topics, word choice, headlines, and more.  I am so confident that you will want to come back for my complete SEO services that I am willing to help you get started with your own SEO FREE of charge. Real Estate Blogging

People have been writing web logs for years, but it’s only in the last year that real estate blogging has become a noticeable phenomenon. Sites like ActiveRain.com have been great training grounds for real estate professionals to begin writing about their work. Many go on to create blogs for their own areas of expertise, both geographic expertise and building type. Several of my favorites in the Bay Area are on my blogroll and I encourage you to check them out to see the great work being done in sharing information and knowledge. In particuar the 1siliconvalley.com blog by Steve Leung and the sfnewdevelopments.com by Mark Choey are great ways to get to know Silicon Valley and San Francisco from a real estate agent’s perspective.

Dave Roberts Consulting

Dave Roberts Consulting is a management company with roots in renewable energy, energy efficient construction, database publishing, the Internet, and public relations. Our staff can help you launch a product, build a house, create an e-commerce or e-business presence, or make you famous. Well, the famous bit is a little tricky these days, but given enough money and some decent stories to tell about you, we can do it.

It may seem odd that we have such an array of services, but their common ingredients include good strategic and tactical planning, a logical sequencing of activity, and the ability to foster teamwork and manage for results using ad hoc teams. That rare cluster of skills is what we have mastered and what we sell.

Working with us

We choose our clients as often as they choose us. Our firm is driven by the native curiosity and interests of our various staffers, and they frequently initiate contact with organizations that interest them. Of course, these prospective clients often aren’t aware of their pressing need for our services without a good deal of coaching on our part, but it’s rare for them not to value the results we produce.

Our typical project begins with a conversation about ends. If the work fits our skills and availability we engage in a fee-free dialog about means, budgets, and the spectrum of outcomes that define satisfactory ends. We believe in accountability, measurable goals, and clearly articulated milestones and deliverables as the foundation for a successful project, so our first billable work is usually the preparation of a project planning and specification document with enough of an outline and timeline for any skilled and experienced project manager to execute the project. We also provide clients with our team’s proposal for delivering a completed project at that time.

In some cases, client contact us for work in which they have more amorphous ends in mind. They engage us to work on an hourly or retainer basis to help clarify their goals and try to move their organization in the general direction they hope for. This is typical of a public relations effort for a product that isn’t finalized or a policy that is not yet fully fleshed out. In those cases, we apply an appropriate level of discipline to shepherd the project through murkiness towards an eventual clear resolution.

Fees

We work on a retainer, project, or hourly basis depending on the project scope and duration. Contact us to begin a dialog about your specific needs.
